Boss Chase
Boss chase means dumping ammo into a large Jackpot Fishing target because it looks valuable. Sometimes it pays. Often it empties the stack. This page is cost discipline, not a kill guide.
See ocean kings and ammo session notes.
Pre-Chase Rules
- ◈Boss budget is optional and written.
- ◈Default budget can be zero.
- ◈Contested kings on full tables get a smaller budget.
- ◈When the budget ends, you stop even if the fish has a sliver left.
During the Chase
Watch the balance every few bursts. If another cannon locks the same boss, reassess. Specials only if their menu price still fits the remaining budget.
After a Failed Chase
Do not “win it back” on the next boss. Return to small fish or end the session. Write one note about what broke the plan.
| Signal | Action |
|---|---|
| Budget hit | Stop |
| Contested lock by others | Switch targets |
| Tilt after empty bursts | End session |
Things Worth Remembering
